CHENNAI: Unruly students who harass teachers physically or mentally will be given transfer certificates (TCs) immediately and their conduct certificates will have the reasons for the action taken against them, school education minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi said in the assembly on Monday.
Replying to opposition leader Edappadi K Palaniswami and PMK leader G K Mani who drew the attention to the issues of viral videos of unruly students and drug abuse among them, the minister said, the errant students will be removed from the schools permanently.
He further said the school education department has advised the schools to conduct special sessions on drug abuse and its impacts after the reopening of schools. TNN
